How Neon collects, uses and protects your personal data.
1. What we collect
Account details (name, email, phone, country, region), your profile, services, jobs, proposals, messages and files you upload, contracts, payments and payouts (including the payout account you enter), reviews, and basic technical data such as your IP address for security and rate limiting.
If you verify your National ID, we check it and keep only derived attributes (age, governorate, gender); the number itself is never stored.
2. What we don't collect
Card details. Payments are processed by a licensed payment partner (Paymob) on its own pages; Neon never sees or stores your card number.
3. How we use it
To run the marketplace: matching, contracts, escrow, payouts, invoices and tax records, support, fraud prevention and safety (for example flagging off-platform payment requests), and the notifications you choose to receive.
Optional AI features (drafting job posts and proposals, matching, review summaries) send the relevant text to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the result; it is not used to build advertising profiles.
4. Who we share it with
The other party to your contract sees what they need for the work. Service providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting, Frankfurt), Neon (database), Resend (email), Paymob (payments), Anthropic (AI features) and PostHog (product analytics, EU, keyed to an internal account number only, never your name or contact details). We share data with authorities only when the law requires it. We don't sell personal data.
5. How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you delete your account, we erase your personal details and keep contracts, payments and invoices in anonymised form for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
6. Your rights
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (151/2020) you can access, correct and delete your data. Download a copy or delete your account from Profile → Privacy & data, change notification emails in your profile, or contact us for anything else.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: your sign-in session, your language, and a referral code if you arrived through an invite link. No advertising or tracking cookies.
